Abstract In the recent past, pulse crops have become increasingly important to agricultural producers as they contribute significantly economy. However, research surrounding economics of is limited. This study determined net returns and risks 14 different rotations with various frequencies sequences quantified long-term economic effects. An 8-year field experiment (two 4-year rotation cycles) was carried out at Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Brooks, Alberta, Canada, during 2010–2019. The in included spring durum wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) (W), pea Pisum sativum (P), chickpea Cicer arietinum (C), lentil Lens culinaris Medik) (L), Oriental mustard Brassica juncea (M). Risk analysis suggested neutral slightly risk averse may select higher lentils, whereas more prefer rotations.
